Motor Claims

We are committed to providing a first class claims service for our brokers and their customers. If you do need to make a claim, we will provide you with a fast and efficient service with the minimum of fuss. We offer flexible solutions across our product range, ensuring customers are dealt with efficiently. Our claims operations are based in the UK, enabling us to ensure control of our in-house motor vehicle repairer networks. The networks are targeted and measured against stringent repair and service levels to ensure that customers are dealt with professionally and their vehicles are repaired to a highest standard. Highway Choice Private Car customers using one of our approved repairers can be kept up to date with the status of their claim via their preferred method; SMS text messaging, email, telephone or post.

Highway Policyholder Claim Reporting

Claims can be reported 24/7, 365 days a year. Your claim will be allocated to an experienced claims handler who will ensure it is dealt with in a speedy and efficient manner. Services are available 24/7 365 days of the year.

If you wish to make a claim, please contact our Choice Home Claims Department as soon as possible. You will be asked for:

  • The name of your insurance advisor who sold you this insurance;
  • The policy number stated on your schedule;
  • Full details of the claim.

The Claims Department will take full details of your claim and let you know what you need to do next. In some cases this will mean the involvement of an independent loss adjuster who will make sure that your claim is settled fairly and satisfactorily.

Motor Claim Reporting Process

All claims should be reported as soon as is reasonably practicable and ideally within the first 24 hours. You should tell us even if you do not consider yourself at fault or are not planning to make a claim so we can protect your interest in the event of any claim made against you.

We aim to provide you with an excellent claims service through our network of repairers who are obliged to meet our very strict service standards. Should you choose to make your own arrangements, we will have no control over the service you receive.

When reporting a claim we will need the following information:

  • Your name, address and policy number.
  • Vehicle make, model and registration number.
  • Name of road incident occurred.
  • Details of the incident.
  • Third party details (if applicable) – vehicle make, model and registration number, address and insurer details.
  • Names and addresses of any witnesses.
  • Police Officer details (where applicable).

All phone calls relating to claims may be tape recorded and used for quality-control, training and fraud detection and prevention purposes.

Windscreen Claims

Highway Glassline - 0800 678 1010

If you use the Highway Glassline the policy limit may not apply. If you use another supplier, we will only pay up to the limit shown on your schedule. Some windscreen damage can be repaired. If so, no windscreen excess will apply.
